A Boone County Miner Died On The Job
A Boone County man was killed while on the job Thursday afternoon.
57-year old Clyde Dolin of Danville died at the Liberty Processing Plant near Uneeda. The State Office of Miners Health, Safety and Training say he was pronounced dead at Boone Memorial Hospital following a three-story fall.
Reports indicate Dolin was a veteran mechanic with 39 years of mining experience. He had worked at the Uneeda prep plant for 13 years. The plant is operated by Alpha Natural Resources.
The federal Mine Safety and Health Administration is conducting an investigation.
