Logan County Icon Gone
A former member of the House of Delegates, State Senator, and military hero has passed away.
93 year old Danny Dahill died Monday at Saint Mary’s Medical Center. Dahill was a 1937 graduate of Logan High School. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1942. He was a fighter pilot in World War II and then got a law degree from West Virginia University.
He represented Logan County in the House of Delegates in the late 50s and the 7th district in the state senate in the early 60s. He was instrumental in the 1960 campaign for President John F. Kennedy.
He worked as an attorney in Logan and was still practicing until his death. He most recently served at the attorney for the Town of West Logan.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday at Honaker Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memory Gardens in Huntington.
