Aunt Jennie Music Festival
On Labor Day Weekend the Aunt Jennie Music Festival filled Chief Logan State Park with the sounds of bluegrass, country, folk, and gospel music. Organizer (and grandson of Aunt Jennie Wilson) Roger Bryant made the call earlier in the week to move the festival from the Liz Spurlock Ampitheatre to the Pickin' in the Park venue due to the possibility of rain over the holiday weekend. WVOW's Dave Allen emceed the two day festival that started on Saturday, September 1st at 3:00pm and ended Sunday, September 2nd. The attendees saw performances from Roger Bryant, Elaine Purkey and the Friendly Neighbors Show, Jeff Ellis, The Daddy Rabbit Band, Robert Shaffer and the Pourhouse Band, The Street Players, Easy Street Band, and many others.
