Justin Turner started his journey with WVOW Radio when he began driving at the age of 16. Justin fills in on different shifts at WVOW as well as remotes, and sports broadcasting. Justin is also the P.A. announcer for Logan High School football, basketball, and some baseball. Justin is a jack of all trades. He likes to be involved with anything and everything especially if it is community oriented. Justin is the head tennis coach at Logan High School and a substitute school teacher. Justin attends and is a member at the First Baptist Church of McConnell where he is very involved. Church is a key part of Justin’s life. Justin currently lives in Chapmanville.
Give us some of your recent accomplishments.
I am a 2005 graduate of Logan High School, a 2009 graduate of the University of Charleston, where I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, and I am currently working on my M.B.A. in Healthcare Administration.
What is something you do for fun?
I like to play tennis, stay active in the community, and of course, eat.
My most common nickname is J.T. It started when I was in middle school when my friend, Rafael, called me J.T. (my initials). Although my dad is a J.T. (John), my mom is a J.T. (Judy) and my sister is a J.T. (Jenna). I hold the nickname through radio. My most recent nickname given is Ramblin’ Man. What is a man supposed to do in radio? Talk right?
