The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 285 new cases of coronavirus in the state as of Friday morning.

Three deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 2,772 West Virginians has died due to complications from the coronavirus.

W.Va. active cases are down with 5,791 total active cases.

Today’s infection rate is 5.11%.

Hospital cases in the state are up with 228 patients. The hospital cases include 79 patients in ICU and 33 patients needing a vent.
