Adkins tosses two-hitter, slugs two-run home run in Lady Wildcats 5-0 shutout of Oak Glen

ST. MARYS   Myleigh Adkins tossed a two-hitter and hit a two-run home run to lead the Logan Lady Wildcats to a 5-0 win over the Lady Golden Bears of Oak Glen High School Friday evening at St. Marys High School.

Adkins struck out 14 and walked one in seven innings and broke a scoreless tie with her two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Lena Setser added a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth for the Lady Wildcats (5-1).

Mattie Carney allowed five runs on six hits while striking out 12 in six innings for the Lady Golden Bears (8-6).

Addie Smith and Kayla Wright each had one hit for Oak Glen.

Lacy Curry went 3 for 3 with two runs scored and Ashlin Brumfield had one hit for Logan.
