LOGAN Addyson Amick scored 14 points and Bam Mosby added eight points and a career-high 18 rebounds as Class AAA No. 10 Logan rallied from an eight-point third quarter deficit to defeat sectional rival Scott 46-40 Monday night at Willie Akers Arena.
Amick was one point shy of equaling her career-high of 15 which came at Scott earlier this season. Halle Crouse added 11 points and Autumn Adkins finished with eight points for Logan.
Logan led 12-7 after one quarter before Scott outscored the Lady Wildcats, 14-9, in the second quarter to send the two teams to the locker room deadlocked at 21.
Scott carried that momentum into the third quarter, outscoring Logan, 12-4, to take a 33-25 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Lady Wildcats offense came to live in the final eight minutes, outscoring the Lady Skyhawks, 21-7, while holding them to a single field goal in the quarter to complete the comeback and sweep the season series from their sectional counterparts.
The win improved Logan to 8-8 and 5-3 in the Cardinal Conference while Scott dropped to 5-9 and 1-4 in the Cardinal.
Kelsey Harper had a game-high 15 points and Haven Tomblin finished with 13 points for Scott, who has lost six of its last seven games.
