Gollihue nets 33, Tigers nip Crusaders 80-76

PROSPERITY   Joey Gollihue poured in 33 points to lead Class AAA No. 7 Chapmanville past Class A No. 3 Greater Beckley Christian 80-76 on Monday night.


Gollihue knocked down six of Chapmanville's seven 3-pointers. Keaton Terry had 16 and Colton Brock scored 14 off the bench for the Tigers, who will close the regular season Thursday night at home against Greater Beckley.


Chapmanville held a 65-52 lead after three quarters but had to hold off a late Crusaders rally. Greater Beckley cut the deficit to two but would get no closer as the Tigers held on for their 14th victory of the season.


Drew Fitzwater scored 18 points for Greater Beckley Christian (13-8). Averyk Woodson had 14, Javonte Spencer added 14 and Eli Gunter finished with 13 points.
