Paul Hardesty
Governor Jim Justice appointed Paul Hardesty to the West Virginia Board of Education.
Justice made the appointment of the former state senator to the state board Monday.
Hardesty’s appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Stan Maynard last week. The term expires in 2029.
Hardesty was appointed by Justice to serve out the unexpired term of then Senator Richard Ojeda in 2019. Hardesty did not seek election in 2020 and resigned the post in the Seventh Senate District last December.
Hardesty has also been a president for the Logan County Board of Education.
He lives at Holden with his wife.
