MAN The Hillbillies set the tone early Friday night at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse, jumping out to a 26-point halftime lead against West Logan Christian Academy and cruising to a 66-34 Senior Night win.
Man improves to 14-7 overall ahead of Tuesday's Class A Region IV tournament draw. The Hillbillies will close the regular season Monday night at Montcalm.
Before the game, Man honored seniors Connor Baisden and Justin Mullins. Both earned starting nods Friday night with Mullins sharing team-high scoring honors with 11 points, but it was Baisden who stole the spotlight in the fourth quarter with his 3-pointer to send the Man Memorial Fieldhouse crowd into a frenzy.
Man, who trailed just once in the contest, also got 11 points from Josh Spriggs and Trey Ward in the win.
Nine of the 12 Hillbillies that saw playing time scored in the contest. Connor Booth just missed double digits finishing with nine points, Noah Frazier had eight, Landon Cantrell five, Micah Goble and Connor White each had four and Baisden with three.
The visiting Warriors (0-16) got 11 points from Chastin Stacy and 10 from Jacob Preece. Hayden Adkins and Ethan Dingess each had five points, Dawson Keyser two and Aiden Workman one.
West Logan travels to Bloomingdale Tuesday night in search of its first win.
