West Virginia hospital patients with COVID-19 near the 900 mark, according to the state Department of Health and Human Resources.
A total of 893 West Virginians are hospitalized with the virus. The hospitalized cases include 275 ICU patients and Fifty-nine patients are in ICU, and 160 patients are on vents.
As of Thursday morning, 2,135 new infections were confirmed through laboratory testing.
W.Va. has 28,773 active cases of COVID-19.
Today’s daily positive infection rate is 10.37%.
The state DHHR also reported 17 additional deaths in the last 24 hours. Since the onset of the outbreak, a total of 3,313 West Virginians have succumbed to COVID-19.
