MAN The Man Lady Hillbillies prevailed in a low scoring affair Saturday afternoon as the Lady Hillbillies defeated Montcalm 36-22 at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.
Man held a 16-10 halftime lead but outscored the Lady Generals 13-1 in the third quarter.
Each school had its difficulties putting the ball in the basket Saturday afternoon as both schools combined for 14 made field goals and four 3-pointers.
Man made eight field goals to Montcalm's six, but the Lady Hillbillies distanced themselves from the Lady Generals at the free throw line. Man made 18-of-28 foul shots while Montcalm made only 8-of-26 tries.
Megan McCoy had a game-high 18 points and Emilee Deel scored 11 for Man (4-9) to avenge a 41-37 loss at Montcalm December 14. Zoe Martin had four points, Taylor Wheatley two and Braylee Thompson one for the Lady Hillbillies.
Isabella Poore and Taylor White led Montcalm with six points each. Hayley Kendrick had three points, Mady Hart and Peyton White each had two points and Addison Thompson finished with one for the Lady Generals (1-8).
