Lady Vikings fourth quarter spurt the difference in 64-56 win over Lady Tigers

RIPLEY   Sophia Nichols scored 33 points and Class AAA No. 7 Ripley outscored Class AA No. 7 Chapmanville, 20-12, in the fourth quarter to break a 44-44 tie, and defeat the Lady Tigers 64-56 Monday night at Ripley High School.

 

Jaiden Mahon scored 16 and Jaycee Blair and Alaira Evans each had 14 points and Haley Fleming added 10 points for the Lady Tigers, who trailed 18-15 after one quarter before outscoring the Lady Vikings 29-26 in the second and third quarters to tie the contest at 44 heading into the fourth quarter.

 

Erin Ryan had nine, Abby Eastman and Addi Morrison each had eight points and Morgan Shanklin six for the Lady Vikings, who improved to 11-8 with the win.

 

Daizi Farley finished with two points to round out the scoring for Chapmanville, who is 11-7 on the year.
