Lady Wildcats even record with a pair of road wins

SISSONVILLE Natalie Blankenship had 22 points to lead Class AAA No. 10 Logan past Sissonville 45-30 Monday night at Sissonville High School.


Tied at 15 at halftime, and ahead by three points after three quarters, the Lady Wildcats outscored the Lady Indians 16-4 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.


Five of Logan's six 3-pointers came in the second half as the Lady Wildcats won their second consecutive game.


Logan improved to 7-7 overall, and 4-2 in the Cardinal Conference while Sissonville fell to 5-7 overall, and 3-2 in the Cardinal Conference.

Kynadee Britton led Sissonville with 13 points. Makela Ullman had five points and Haley Jarrett four for the Lady Indians, who have lost three straight games.


Autumn Adkins finished with nine points and Bam Mosby seven for Logan.

Logan 45, Lincoln 39: Logan used an 11-0 second half run to defeat Lincoln 45-39 in the East Fairmont Girls Basketball Classic Saturday afternoon at East Fairmont High School.


Natalie Blankenship and Autumn Adkins combined for seven of Logan's nine 3-pointers while holding Lincoln without a 3-point make.


Blankenship had a game-high 24 points and Adkins finished with 11 points for the Lady Wildcats, who had lost four of their last five games entering the classic.


Ashlyn Riley led Lincoln with 14 points and Sylvie Salerno added 10 for the Lady Cougars, who have lost five of their last seven games.


Logan improved to 6-7 while Lincoln fell to 5-7.
