LOGAN   Myleigh Adkins drove in two while pitching a three-hit shutout as Logan opened its season with an 8-0 run-rule victory in five innings over Ravenswood Monday evening at Bea Orr Field.

The Lady Wildcats (2-0) scored seven times in the fourth inning to break a scoreless tie. Another run in the fifth ended the contest.

Addison Richardson went 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Addison Starr was 1-for-1 with an RBI double. Lauren Adkins, Ashlin Brumfield and Emilee Mullins each had one hit.

All eight of Logan's runs were unearned thanks to three Devilettes errors.

Courtesy runner Daisy Tomblin and Brumfield scored on errors to start the seven-run fourth inning outburst. Lauren Adkins scored on a groundout and Richardson and Myleigh Adkins each had two-run singles for a 7-0 lead.

Starr's two-out double in the fifth inning scored Jaylin Dingess with the game-ending run.

Ravenswood's (0-3) Macy Casto allowed seven runs, six hits, two walks and struck out eight in four innings. Layna Whited went 2-for-3 and Casto was 1-for-1 with a pair of walks.
