A Lincoln County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing his wife.
Edward Jeffers of Hamlin was convicted Friday of first degree murder in Lincoln County Circuit Court.
A jury found Jeffers stabbed his wife Stephanie to death in December of 2017. She was found outside a Hamlin apartment building and later succumbed to severe cuts to her midsection and neck.
Jeffers can expect no possibility of parole as the jury did not recommend any mercy for the crime.
Jeffers will be sentenced at a later date.
