HAMLIN Two Lincoln County schools closed early Friday for severe weather and winds blew the roof off of one school and knocked out power to the other.
A portion of the roof blew off of Hamlin PK-8 as a result of storms that passed through the area early Friday, March 24. Lincoln County Schools reported that a top floor classroom was damaged.
The storm also caused an electric outage was reported at Duval PK-8, according to Lincoln County Emergency Services.
Students were released from both schools at 9 o’clock Friday morning.
No injuries were reported.
