The Logan County Health Department reported an additional 40 cases of COVID-19 today.
Forty newcases of the virus were discovered through laboratory testing. The addition of today’s positive cases brings the total of new infections to 360 cases confirmed since Friday a week ago
Logan County has 627active cases, 3,967 recoveries and 107 fatalities for a cumulative total of 4,701 cases of COVID-19.
Twenty-four people remain hospitalized.
West Virginia continues to set new peaks in active cases of COVID-19, according to the data released by the Department of Health and Human Resources.
As of Friday morning, 2,320 new infections were confirmed through laboratory testing.
W.Va. has 29,744 active cases of COVID-19 and that is new peak for active cases since January tenth.
The state DHHR also reported 57 additional deaths in the last 24 hours. Since the onset of the outbreak, a total of 3,370 West Virginians have succumbed to COVID-19.
