The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 215 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.
As of 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, West Virginia has 5,106 active cases.
Since the onset of the outbreak, 413 West Virginians have succumbed to the virus. Five deaths were reported in the last 24-hours.
Today’s daily positive infection rate is 3.36%.
According to the state DHHR color-coded map released Wednesday morning, Mingo and Wayne counties continue to be in the orange.
Boone County is in the “gold” category.
Lincoln, Logan and McDowell counties are green.
Wyoming County is the only county in red.
West Virginia has 20,734 cumulative cases of coronavirus.
