LOGAN Logan County Sheriff says more than 130 pounds of unused or expired medication was collected during a Drug Take-Back event Saturday, April 22.
According to a social media press release from Logan County Sheriff PD Clemens, the sheriff's department collect 130.8 pounds total of the medications that were either expired or unwanted. Take-Back events collect expired or otherwise unwanted medicine for proper disposal. Medicine should never be flushed.
Sheriff Clemens said this is a yearly continuous partnership between the sheriff's department, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Logan County Prevention Coalition.
Citizens may dispose of unused medications at any time at drop-off locations at the sheriff's office in the Logan County Courthouse, Man Town Hall and the Chapmanville Police Department.
