Logan Regional Medical Center changed their visitation policy Thursday due to the increased number of COVID-19 cases.
The hospital said in a release, the changes have been made for the safety of the patients
As of Thursday, the hospital will not be permitting any visitation with some exceptions. OB patients, end of life patients, pediatrics and outpatients that rely on a care giver or support person.
Physician Practice offices patients can be accompanied by one support person, if approved by physician
Reminders for those permitted visitation, masks are still required and visitors are screened before entry to the hospital or physician office.
Visitors must not congregate in waiting room areas and must maintain social distancing.
Visitors should wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or apply hand sanitizer upon entry and departure from patient rooms and the facility.
