A Michigan resident was arrested at Justice Addition for meth and conspiracy Tuesday
West Virginia State Police responded to a tip of suspicious activity on Circle Drive. The tip consisted of a vehicle with out of state registration backed alongside a storage building at a resident thought to be abandoned by the tipster.
According to the complaint filed in the Logan County Magistrate Court, four individuals were inside the vehicle and had been parked in excess of thirty minutes.
Troopers made contact with the occupants and alleged the odor of marijuana was emanating from car.
Police made contact with 22-year-old Tyrell Quayshawn Edwards, of Pontiac, Michigan. According to complaint, Edwards admitted to smoking marijuana in the vehicle and advised he had more on his person. A search of Edwards yielded no marijuana.
Troopers reported the lessee of the vehicle granted consent to search. A bag containing a white crystal substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine was located while walking around the vehicle. Approximately, 7.81 grams of the substance was in the bag. Allegedly, Edwards claimed the meth was his.
Suspected marijuana was discovered in the pocket of jacket in the backseat of the vehicle.
Edwards was charged with conspiracy meth, possession with intent for meth and possession of Marijuana.
