CHAPMANVILLE A man is in custody at the Southwestern Regional Jail for allegedly holding a woman against her will, according to a criminal complaint filed in Logan County Magistrate Court.
West Virginia State Police responded Friday, October sixth to a disturbance call at a home on Saunders Fork Road in Chapmanville.
Troopers spoke with the victim and were advised a man she did not know was in her home, with a gun and "had made threats to do harm to her." According to the police, the victim claimed she did not know the man's actual name and only knew him as "Ugg."
Troopers said they found the suspect seated on a couch and in possession of a firearm. According to the complaint, the suspect claimed to not be armed when asked. Troopers took possession of the firearm. WV MetroNews reported police also confiscated 1.5 ounces of what they believe to be heroin.
Further investigation identified the suspect as 27-year-old Michael Young of Warren, Michigan. His charges include unlawful restraint, possession with the intent to deliver, and two counts of misdemeanor possession for marijuana and alprazolam.
