HUNTINGTON A Mingo County man turned himself in to police in Huntington over the weekend for a deadly shooting.
That shooting took place Friday night just before ten o’clock on Buffington Avenue near the Village on Sixth housing complex.
According to Huntington Police, 25-year old Deonte Joplin, of Matewan turned himself in to the West Virginia State Police Saturday.
He is accused in the murder of a forty-year-old man. Victim was shot outside the apartment and died at the scene. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
Joplin is charged with first degree murder and is being held at the Western Regional Jail without bail.
