
LOGAN & LINCOLN COUNTIES Water outages abound in Logan County following recent flooding.
The Logan County Public Service District is having issues with maintaining water service due to conditions on the Guyandotte River. Following the flooding last weekend, mud and debris have impacted the river intake line.
Outages are affecting customers in most parts of Logan County and the Harts area in Lincoln County.
Boil water notices have been issued for the same majority of areas in the county. Crews continue working to restore service, but there is no projected estimate for full restoration as of Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Logan County Office of Emergency Management is working with the West Virginia Division of Homeland Security Emergency Management on a request for drinking water. Pallets of drinking water are expected to arrive and distribution locations to be announced as the resources are made available.
