West Virginia Supreme Court Chief Justice Evan Jenkins appointed Senior Status Judge Jim Rowe as Interim Wyoming County Circuit Judge to temporarily replace Warren McGraw.
A vacancy on the court occurred last month with the retirement of Judge Warren McGraw. McGraw suffers from Parkinson’s Disease making it difficult to fulfill his duties.
McGraw’s retirement begins Monday, June twenty-first.
Rowe can begin hearing cases the next day.
Rowe is 82 years of age and served twenty years on the Eleventh Circuit Court. He also served two terms in the West Virginia House of Delegates and three terms in the state Seante. He won a seat on the West Virginia Supreme Court in 1998.
Rowe will serve as judge until Governor Justice makes the permanent appointment.
