CHAPMANVILLE Sissonville's Kynna Britton has an excellent career for the Lady Indians and Tuesday she etched her name in the record books of Sissonville High School.

Needing 17 points to become the school's all-time leading scorer, Britton completed the task in the fourth quarter, scoring on a layup with 4:17 to play to break Madison Jones' mark of 1,827 points that was set in 2016.

Britton finished with a game-high 22 points and was one of three Sissonville players in double figures as the seventh-ranked Lady Indians defeated Chapmanville 58-32 Tuesday night at the Danny Godby Gymnasium.

Britton hauled down 10 rebounds and blocked seven shots. Ava Hillabold knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points and Makaela Ullman posted a double-double finishing with 13 points and 14 rebounds to go along with five assists.

The Lady Indians (16-4) jumped out to a 19-5 lead after one quarter and continued to add to the lead throughout the contest. Chapmanville never got the deficit under single digits the rest of the way.

Brooke Christian led Chapmanville (7-13) with 12 points. Savannah Kirk added eight and Laken Parks finished with six points.

The Lady Indians will host second ranked and once beaten Grafton Saturday afternoon to close the regular season. Chapmanville will host Lincoln County on February 28 in the opening round of the Class AAA Region IV tournament.
