LOGAN The West Virginia State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint and stepped up patrols this week in the Logan area.


According to a press release from the Logan detachment of State Police, a checkpoint will be set up Wednesday from six o’clock to midnight on West Virginia Route 73, with an alternate checkpoint designated as Enterprise Drive.


The primary focus of the checkpoint is DUI enforcement, however police will be keeping an eye out for all driving infractions. That includes speeding, reckless driving and seat belt violations.
