Suspect on the run following United Bank robbery at Aracoma

ARCOMA There was a heavy police presence in Aracoma following a bank robbery this morning.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded just before noon to the United Bank of Aracoma after receiving a report of a robbery underway. According to Logan County Sheriff P.D. Clemens, the suspect fled the scene.
“There was a robbery here probably about 40 minutes ago. Suspect fled, possibly back towards Chapmanville. The FBI was called in, they’re probably going to be doing the investigation,” he told WVOW. “We think he’s in a car. That’s not been confirmed, but we think he’s in a car.”
Logan area schools have been placed on lockdown as the incident is ongoing.
