Two people face various charges in connection with a death in Mingo County.
Dalton Abbott, 26, was arrested and accused of killing Michael Toler on Friday in the Tamcliff area near Gilbert.
According to reports, the two were in a fight that day which resulted in severe internal injuries for Toler. He was transported to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Abbott was arrested in connection with the incident on Saturday.
In connection with the arrest, Kimberley Caudill, 42, was also charged on Saturday.
Caudill allegedly lied to police about the whereabouts of Abbott when she was questioned. Caudill allegedly told deputies Abbott was not in the residence, but he was found in a closet during a search.
Abbott is charged with first-degree murder.
Caudill is charged with accessory after the fact for trying to mislead police about Abbott’s whereabouts.
