MAN A two-point second quarter left a deficit too big for the Man Lady Hillbillies to climb out of as they lost their fifth consecutive game, falling to Sherman, 52-24, Thursday night at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.
Sherman (3-4) led 11-4 after one quarter, but outscored Man 20-2 in the second quarter to take a 31-6 lead into the locker room.
Coach Garrin Blankenship's Lady Hillbillies outscored the Lady Tide 10-9 in the third quarter, but the six-point first half was too much to overcome.
Makayla Harless scored a game-high 15 points and Audrina Smith and Melanie Smith each had 11 points to lead the Lady Tide in scoring.
Megan McCoy scored 13 points, Braylee Thompson seven and Emilee Deel four for the Lady Hillbillies.
