NEW RICHMOND Class AA co-No. 3 Wyoming East outscored Logan 15-5 in the fourth quarter to hand No. 2 Logan its first loss of the season Tuesday night.
Konnor Fox and Broc Johnson each scored 15 points to lead the Warriors, who erased a two-point third quarter deficit and defeat Logan 59-51.
Matt Hatfield had 15 points and Zayden Sherod 11 for Logan, who trailed 17-9 after one quarter before outscoring Wyoming East 19-11 in the second quarter to even the score at 28.
The Wildcats outscored the Warriors 18-16 in the third quarter and led 46-44 after three quarters.
Logan attempted to mount a fourth quarter rally after falling behind by eight points and pulled to within five, 56-51, when Grayson Sanders drained a 3-pointer with 0:33 remaining.
It would be as close as Logan would get as Wyoming East scored the final three points to improve to 4-1 while the Wildcats fell to 8-1.
Talan Muscari scored 12 points to give Wyoming East three double figure scorers.
