WILLIAMSTOWN Class AA No. 3 Williamstown scored the final seven points in the final 1:21 to rally from seven points down to defeat Logan 48-41 Saturday afternoon at Williamstown High School.
With 1:30 remaining in the third quarter, Logan led Williamstown, 38-31, however the Yellowjackets outscored the Lady Wildcats 17-3 over the final 9:30 to improve to 6-1 on the year.
Gracie Montgomery and Faith Pickens scored 14 points each and Arissa Burt had 10 for the victorious Yellowjackets (6-1).
Montgomery's 3-pointer broke a 41-41 tie as Williamstown outscored Logan 13-2 in the final quarter.
Montgomery made four of Williamstown's nine 3-point field goals while Logan made just one 3-pointer.
Logan (5-2) led for much of the game and was ahead 39-35 after three quarters but could muster only an Addyson Amick field goal in the fourth quarter.
Halle Crouse led the Lady Wildcats with 12 points, Bam Mosby added 11 and Amick and Payton Butcher had seven each.
Logan returns to action January 3 when they host Williamstown in the final game of the first day of the Lady Wildcat Classic.
