Wolfe drives in five to lead Logan past Westside, 12-1, in five innings

CLEAR FORK Jayce Wolfe had two hits including a two-run home run and drove in five runs to the Logan Wildcats to an 12-1 five inning win at Westside Wednesday evening.
Five Logan (4-1) pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts while limiting the Renegades to just one hit.
Bentley Williamson got credit for the win after allowing one run with one strikeout and one walk in one inning. Devin Stewart took over in the second inning and struck out one and walked one while Spike Bryant struck out three Renegades in the third inning.
McCormick Ilderton allowed one hit, walked two and struck out two in the fourth and Adam Baisden struck out three hitters in the fifth inning.
Logan plated four runs in the first inning to jump out to a 4-0 lead. Williamson started the scoring with a run scoring single and Wolfe capped the inning with a three-run double.
Westside (2-3) plated its lone run in the bottom of the first when Braxton Waldron scored on an error.
Ivan Miller and Williamson scored on an error to increase Logan's lead to 6-1 and Gage Hensley drove in a run with a double to give the Wildcats a 7-1 lead after three innings.
Logan put the game away with a five-run fifth inning. Luke Blankenship scored on an error to make it 8-1.
Wolfe had a two-run home run over the left field fence to give Logan a 10-1 lead. Crew Blankenship scored on a wild pitch and Ilderton scored on an error.
Hensley and Williamson each had one hit and one RBI while Tanner Akers, Baisden, Crew Blankenship and Talan Thompson each had one hit.
Charlie Hawks allowed nine runs on six hits with two walks and two strikeouts in four innings and Hayden Miller had the Renegades only hit.
